Red Deer city council submits three resolutions for consideration by Alberta Municipalities
Red Deer city council approved three Alberta Municipalities (AB Munis) policy resolutions to guide their advocacy efforts, ranging from federal funding for transit, provincial direction regarding the permanent shelter, and governmental funding for permanent supportive housing.
Each year, municipalities across the province are invited to submit resolutions that address a municipal public policy concern for consideration by the AB Munis membership.
AB Munis is a group of elected and administrative leaders representing Alberta’s municipalities where over 85 per cent of Albertans live. Together, they advocate for solutions to municipal issues. Resolutions are one way that the Alberta Municipalities’ board or members can propose actions or policies for the membership to consider. Resolutions that are passed set the direction for the group’s advocacy efforts over the next three years.
