Crews attend fire near RDP

Emergency crews were called out to a fire outside Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) over the weekend.

RCMP confirm that crews responded to a call for service shortly after 6:00 a.m. on April 14, 2024, but could not provide any further details.

Officials with RDP, meantime, provided the following statement:

“A fire did occur in front of the Logo Monogram statue on our main campus over the weekend. An investigation is currently taking place.”
