The Red Deer Symphony Orchestra (RDSO) is taking you back to the glory of the Baroque era with its upcoming presentation dubbed Let’s Cellobrate.

The concert will feature Juno Award-winning Rosa Barocca and esteemed cellist Elinor Frey, and feature spellbinding performances of concertos by two giants of the Baroque period: Antonio Vivaldi and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.

“Audiences will be entranced by the vibrant and expressive compositions of Vivaldi, whose works have stood the test of time and continue to captivate listeners with their infectious energy and melodious charm,” the RDSO says in a media release.

“In addition to Vivaldi’s works, this concert will showcase the genius of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, a prolific composer whose innovative style bridged the gap between the Baroque and Classical periods. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the emotional depth and intricate craftsmanship of CPE Bach’s concertos, expertly interpreted by Rosa Barocca and Ms. Frey.”
