Olds Grizzlys forward named to AJHL All-Rookie Second Team

The AJHL has revealed its 2023-24 All-Rookie Teams, as selected by GMs and coaches.

The All-Rookie Second Team includes one local player, Mitchell Patrick of the Olds Grizzlys.

Patrick, who is from Airdrie, finished 12th in rookie scoring with nine goals and 17 assists in 47 games. That includes five helpers on the power play and one game-winning goal to go with 56 penalty minutes.

His 26 points were fourth best on the Grizzlys.

The AJHL playoffs resume with the league semi-finals, starting March 29. Whitecourt is hosting Canmore to start their best-of-seven, and Drumheller is visiting the Calgary Canucks.
