RCMP investigating fatal crash involving Red Deer woman
RCMP are sending their condolences to the family and friends of a Red Deer woman after a fatal collision in southern Alberta Monday.
On March 25, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., Piikani Nation, Pincher Creek and Fort Macleod RCMP responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Brockett. Upon arrival, officers determined that a passenger vehicle had collided with a semi truck.
Police say the driver of the passenger vehicle, a 47-year-old female resident of Red Deer, was declared deceased at the scene. Mounties say the driver of the semi received minor injuries.
The RCMP says a collision reconstructionist attended, and the investigation continues.
