Sundre RCMP investigating fatal crash on Highway 587

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash northeast of Sundre Thursday.

On Feb. 29, 2024, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Sundre RCMP were notified of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 587, between Range Road 44 and Range Road 45. Mounties say the collision was between a semi truck and a passenger vehicle.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the driver of the passenger vehicle, a 26-year-old female resident of Caroline, Alta., was deceased.

Police say the investigation into the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

RCMP send their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
