90 Units Sold In January

Modest decrease in Red Deer home sales in January

Only modest decreases in the number of home sales in Red Deer in January when compared to the previous month and year over-year.

According to the latest Residential Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 90 units sold in Red Deer in January, down from 100 units sold in December, and only slightly lower than the 92 units sold in the city during the same month last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $349,216, up from $321,678 in December 2023, and $283,526 in January 2023.

The average number of days to sell in Red Deer last month was 49 days, up from 41 days in December 2023, but down from 70 days in January of last year.

Meanwhile, the number of units sold throughout the entire central Alberta market in January was 184, down from 253 units sold in December, and 216 units sold in January 2023.

The average sale price throughout central Alberta last month was $466,941, up from $385,694 in December 2023, and $341,271 in January of last year.

The average number of days to sell a home throughout central Alberta last month was 66 days, up from 59 days in December 2023, but down from 83 days in January of last year.
