United Way Central Alberta announced as Charity of Choice for Bower Place
A prominent shopping destination in Central Alberta has announced United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) as its 2024 Charity of Choice.
Officials with Bower Place say this strategic alliance follows their successful collaboration with the Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre in 2023, where an impressive $31,243.15 was raised to support the commendable efforts in assisting children with special needs, their families, and surrounding communities.
For nearly 60 years, officials say United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) has been dedicated to fostering thriving communities in the region by actively listening to local voices, collaborating with citizens, agencies, and businesses, and strategically investing donor dollars into impactful programs. Officials say UWCA’s current focus areas of ensuring access to Basic Needs, increasing availability of Mental Health services, and fostering Brighter Futures reflect its commitment to adapting and meeting the evolving needs of Central Albertans through strong community partnerships.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to amplify the needs of Central Albertans through this incredible partnership with Bower Place!” said Chelsea O’Donoghue, CEO of United Way Central Alberta. “United Way Central Alberta is committed to creating communities where families and individuals have the resources, opportunities, and supports they need to thrive, and we are incredibly excited to join forces with Bower Place in building brighter futures for all.”
