Pair of prolific offenders from Red Deer arrested again in December

Two prolific offenders are facing more charges following their arrests last month.

Red Deer RCMP say it was Dec. 14 when members arrested two males following a stolen property investigation.

Red Deer Mounties observed a suspicious vehicle attend two separate businesses within Red Deer and steal wheels off vehicles at those businesses, police say.

Members were able to stop and arrest two males from the suspicious car. During the arrest, police say one of the suspects threw a backpack, which police would recover. The backpack contained multiple cell phones, cash and drugs.

Further investigation revealed the car had been stolen from Edmonton and that the plate was stolen from a different vehicle from Red Deer.

Zacharias Paradoski, 37, and Nicholas Wales, 26, both residents of Red Deer, have been charged with numerous offences.

Paradoski’s charges include the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3
  • Possession of property obtained by crime x3
  • Theft
  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order x5
  • Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

Wales’s charges include:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3
  • Possession of property obtained by crime x3
  • Theft
  • Trafficking in property obtained by crime
  • Fail to comply release condition

At the time of the arrests, RCMP note, both Paradoski and Wales were already facing other criminal charges. Both have been remanded into custody following Judicial Interim Release Hearings.
