Red Deer Firefighters Children’s Charity taking Christmas trees Jan. 16

The Red Deer Firefighters Children’s Charity is conducting its annual Christmas tree pick-up on Tuesday, January 16.

The fundraiser was initially planned for Jan. 12, but was moved back due to the extreme cold.

For people wanting to give their tree:

1. Go to the organization’s website (www.reddeerfirefighterschildrenscharity.com) and make a donation of any amount.
2. Provide an address in the message portion on the donation form so they know where the tree is located.
3. Place the tree in the front yard of the location provided for them to collect

All proceeds go to the charity for its various initiatives to help children and families in need within the community.
