Kerry Wood Nature Centre events

Central Albertans are being encouraged to check out a pair of events happening at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre in Red Deer next month.

Meet the Critter – Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Join an Interpreter to meet their Tiger Salamanders and learn all about this local amphibian. Everyone welcome. $3/person or $10/family (cash preferred).

Drop-in, come and go as you please. This program takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.

Bring Home the Bacon: Tips & Tricks for a Sustainable Pantry – Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Learn some hacks to keep you and your loved ones well-fed as food prices soar. This workshop will include topics such as getting sweet without sugar, pantry basics, using unconventional foodstuffs, and a make-and-take to help zhoosh your regular fare.

This workshop takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Space is limited; sign up now! All supplies included.

Ages 14 & up $15 + GST/ person Pre-registration required by 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024.
