Sentencing next year for Red Deer nurse practitioner convicted of sexual assault

Dec 22, 2023 | 2:59 PM

Sentencing is scheduled next year for a nurse practitioner from Red Deer convicted of sexual assault.

Christopher Moon Mah, 44, is scheduled for sentencing in Drumheller Court of Justice on April 4, 2024.

Mah was found guilty of the charge in Drumheller Court of Justice on July 14, 2023, following his trial on April 11, 2023.

He was found not guilty, however, on a charge of extortion, while one count of criminal breach of trust was withdrawn.

Mah was initially arrested and charged with sexual assault, extortion and breach of trust on Nov. 19, 2022.

It was on July 27, 2022, when Three Hills RCMP received a complaint and initiated an investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault. The complainant reported that a Three Hills Nurse Practitioner had sexually assaulted her in exchange for prescription medication and money.
