Red Deer’s Colton Sceviour will represent Canada at the 2023 Spengler Cup, which runs Dec. 26-31 in Davos, Switzerland.

Sceviour, 34, is currently suiting up for SC Bern of the National League in Switzerland, and is making his second Spengler Cup appearance. Last year, he recorded zero points in three tournament games, while Canada was knocked out in the quarterfinals.

“We are proud to unveil the 25 players who will wear the Maple Leaf at this year’s Spengler Cup. This is a unique and exciting tournament, and we know these players will embrace the opportunity to compete for a historic championship,” Joe Thornton, co-general manager said. “This is a skilled group that brings a variety of experience from the professional and international levels, and we believe this group will come together quickly and represent Canada with pride in Davos.”

A forward, Sceviour has put up three assists in 16 games for SC Bern this season, below his output of 19 goals and 19 assists in 49 games for the same team last year.
