Red Deer home sales steady in November

Red Deer home sales saw a small decrease in November when compared to October, but year-over-year figures show a small increase in local home sales.

According to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 122 home sales in Red Deer last month, down from 128 in October, but up from 116 in November 2022.

Year-to-date numbers, meanwhile, show 1,744 home sales in Red Deer so far this year, down from 1,913 home sales to this point last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $335,706, down from $374,350 in October, but up from $332,885 in November 2022.

Meantime, the average number of days to sell in Red Deer in November was 39, down from 46 days in October, and 50 days in November of last year.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 335 units sold in November, which compares to 397 units sold in October, and 276 units sold in November 2022.

Year-to-date figures show 4,821 units sold throughout central Alberta so far this year, down from 5,414 units sold during the first 11 months of 2022.

The average sale price in central Alberta in November was $364,371, down from $395,313 in October, but up from $285,000 in November of last year.

The average days to sell in central Alberta last month was 53, down from 57 days in October, and 63 days in November 2022.
