The police incident on 49 avenue in Red Deer is now over. Officers do remain on scene, however, as they conduct an investigation.
Mounties say a follow up release is anticipated.

Red Deer RCMP are currently on scene and advising of a heavy police presence at an apartment building at 3047 49 Avenue in Red Deer.
Mounties say the incident is currently contained. While RCMP respond, they are asking the public to avoid the area and follow directions of officers on scene.
RCMP ask that residents refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media until after the incident is over.
Police say an additional update is anticipated.
