November 21 temperature records set in west central Alberta Tuesday
Some areas of west central Alberta broke temperature records for November 21 on Tuesday.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Rocky Mountain House area reached a daytime high of 17.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, beating the old record of 15.2 degrees Celsius set in 2002. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
Elsewhere, the Nordegg area set a new temperature record for November 21 of 16.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, beating the old record of 15.2 degrees Celsius set in 2002. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
The Sundre area also set a new temperature record for November 21 on Tuesday, reaching a high of 18.8 degrees Celsius and surpassing the previous record of 16.2 degrees Celsius set in 2005. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
