Red Key Realty holding raffle for Red Deer Food Bank

Throughout the month of November, Red Key Realty & Property Management is collecting funds and food for the Red Deer Food Bank.

Visitors to their office can enter a raffle for two dollars per ticket, with an opportunity to win one of five baskets of gift cards valued at $500. All proceeds from the draw benefit the Red Deer Food Bank.

The Red Deer Food Bank has seen an increase in demand of 81 per cent from March of 2019 to March of 2023.

Many people in Red Deer and area are struggling to keep up with the increased cost of basic living essentials; 59 per cent of clients surveyed between May 1 and September 30 of this year indicated that the cost of groceries was the main reason they needed to turn to the food bank. Fundraisers and food drives hosted by local businesses and individuals in the community help alleviate the pressures the food bank faces in these challenging times.
