Bridge closures in Lacombe County

Lacombe County advises drivers of the following changes in traffic patterns due to safety concerns on two County bridges.

• Bridge 06612 (NW 20-41-26 W4) located 2 miles north of Milton West Branch Road, will be closed to vehicular traffic starting on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. The bridge closure is required for safety reasons due to the degradation of the bridge structure. The bridge will be closed until further notice.

• Bridge 02499 (NW 29-41-26 W4) located east of Rge Rd 26-5 on Twp Rd 41-4A, will be restricted to 5-tonne weight loads starting on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Road users must meet restrictions or use an alternate route. The restriction will remain in place until appropriate improvements or remedial work can be completed.

Please refer to the diagram for the detour route. Motorists can take Range Road 27-0 north to Township Road 41-4. Directional signage will be in place. Please watch for and obey the posted signage.
