Lindsay Thurber annual Remembrance Day ceremony on Tuesday shares theme of peace

Nov 6, 2023 | 1:16 PM

Red Deer’s Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School will be hosting their annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on Tuesday.

On November 7 at 1 p.m., all students will gather in the school’s gymnasium (4204 58 St.) for the presentation, with this year’s theme being “The Faces of Peace”.

School officials say the ceremony will feature a video of Canadian peacekeeping throughout the years, in addition to other commemorative aspects for those who sacrificed for the country’s freedoms.

For those who cannot make the ceremony, it will also be available through a livestream.
