First snow on the way for central Alberta overnight Sunday
The snow is about to arrive Red Deer.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a special weather statement with snow expected over several parts of the province beginning tonight.
Snow will develop over west-central Alberta tonight and move towards the east and south on Monday, ECCC says. Snowfall amounts will vary greatly across the province due to initially warm ground temperatures and the duration of snowfall over some regions.
Central Alberta: Timing: Snow will begin tonight and end by Tuesday morning. Total snowfall amounts: 2 to 5 cm. Daytime highs are forecast to be -2 on Monday and -7 on Tuesday. Overnight lows could dip to -15 by Tuesday night.
