RCMP determine alleged threat against local high school “not credible’
Red Deer Mounties have determined alleged threats towards a local high school this week have turned out to be unfounded.
On Tuesday evening, school administration received reports of a threat made against Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School.
In a letter sent to parents Wednesday morning, Principal Chris Good says the matter was referred to the Red Deer RCMP.
Good says RCMP investigated, spoke with the individual who had made the concerning comment and the RCMP determined the threat to not be credible. Good says the attending members educated the youth and their family about the seriousness of the situation and the repercussions of making threats.
