Local golfers competing at 2023 Canadian Women’s Senior Championship
A pair of Lacombe golfers are among 131 of Canada’s top senior-aged golfers competing at the Mill River Golf Resort in Woodstock, Prince Edward Island this week.
The event runs from Aug. 29- Sept 1 for the playing of the Canadian Women’s Senior Championship, presented by BDO.
The central Alberta contingent consists of Carla Jean Smith, and Lynn Kuehn, both of Lacombe.
Officials with Golf Canada say the Canadian Women’s Senior Championship will consist of 54 holes of stroke-play with a cut after 36 holes. Players over 50 are eligible to compete in the Senior Championship and those 60 and over will compete for the Super Senior title.
