Temporary road closure in Red Deer on 47 Avenue starting Monday

Motorists in Red Deer are being advised of an upcoming road closure on 47 Avenue starting Monday.

City officials say crews will be make concrete repairs.

Between 7 a.m. on Monday, August 28 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 47 Avenue will be closed between 49 Street and 50 Street.

Drivers can use 46 Avenue and 48 Avenue to detour the road closure.

Drivers are also being reminded to slow down when in construction areas and pedestrians are to cross only at designated crosswalks.
