Signage issue at 47 Avenue & 2A intersection in Lacombe

The City of Lacombe is advising residents that the advanced warning “no-left turn” sign for southbound Highway 2A traffic is not correctly activating when trains approach the 47 Avenue/Highway 2A intersection.

As a result, officials say the City has ordered a replacement electronic sign box, which is expected to arrive in approximately 10 weeks.

In the meantime, City officials say temporary signage is in place and is visible to southbound traffic on Highway 2A. Truckers using this roadway are encouraged to avoid making left turns at this intersection.

All other signals are operating correctly, note City officials.
