Much-needed rain lands in central Alberta this week

Significant amounts of rain have fallen in many parts of central Alberta this week.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), between Wednesday morning and mid-day Thursday, the Red Deer area received 67.7 mm of rain.

Elsewhere, the Olds area received 80.3 mm of rain, while the Lacombe area received 60.2 mm. The Prentiss area received 58.8 mm, while the Delburne area saw 49.3 mm fall to the ground.

More rain is expected in the Red Deer region this week, with possible precipitation forecasted for Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as of mid-day Friday.
