Red Deer firefighters complete birthday cake delivery for driver caught in minor accident
Red Deer firefighters had to keep real cool on Tuesday as they completed an ice cream cake delivery for a birthday boy following a minor car accident for the delivery driver.
“It speaks to the community based emergency services that we try to pride ourselves here in Red Deer, said Curtis Schaefer, Assistant Deputy Chief with the City of Red Deer Emergency Services (RDES).
Michener Hill resident Audrey McCaffrey was celebrating her son Mason’s ninth birthday on June 13.
As per tradition, her sister in British Columbia purchased a Dairy Queen ice cream cake through the Skip The Dishes app for her nephew.
