Jun 10, 2023 | 5:00 PM

A 44-year-old man from Linden, Alta. has been charged after driving into a house on Friday.

Three Hills RCMP say it was about 1:30 p.m. on June 9 when they received a call about an ongoing disturbance on a rural property, just west of Three Hills. Linden is 30 km southwest of Three Hills.

There, a Jeep Grand Cherokee had driven through an attached garage and was stuck.

A male was located after trying to steal a Stieger farm tractor to evade police.

A search warrant on the SUV turned up 10 grams of methamphetamine, two grams of cocaine, and 52 grams of fentanyl, along with items indicative of drug trafficking.

Jason Lock is charged with

· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

· Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

· Theft of Other Motor Vehicle

· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2)

· Possession of a controlled substance

· Drive While Suspended or Disqualified Under the Immediate Roadside Sanction

· Drive Uninsured Motor Vehicle on Highway

Following a court appearance, Lock was released to appear again July 14 in Drumheller.

“We are thankful no one was seriously injured during this event,” says Three Hills RCMP Detachment Commander Sgt. Jamie Day. “The quick response from Three Hills RCMP officers resulted in the arrest of the male and prevented further offences from occurring.”
