Heat Warning issued for Red Deer and surrounding regions
Heat Warnings have been issued for many parts of Alberta including the Red Deer, Ponoka, Innisfail, Stettler region.
Other nearby regions affected also include Olds, Sundre, Airdrie, Cochrane, and Drumheller-Three Hills.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, temperatures reaching 29 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows near 14 degrees Celsius begins today. Officials say the hot weather will continue tomorrow with the potential for it to extend into the weekend.
Residents of and visitors to the warned regions are advised to take the following precautions to protect themselves, their families and their neighbours:
