RCMP done with situation at Red Deer Resort & Casino

Red Deer RCMP say their response to the Red Deer Resort & Casino this morning has been resolved, as of 3 p.m.

There was no immediate threat to the public, police said in an initial media release which went out around 11 a.m.

“Red Deer RCMP were searching for a male wanted on outstanding warrants, and will continue to investigate,” RCMP say. “The male has not yet been apprehended and police are still searching for the male.”

Again, they emphasize there is no risk to the public.

RCMP say they cannot, at this time, disclose the name of the person who was allegedly at the hotel.
