Red Deer lacrosse teams came home with many medals after competing in the Timberfest Memorial Tournament held over the weekend in Calgary.

During the tournament from May 6-7, four Red Deer Chiefs teams, the U11-2, U13-B1, U15-B2, and U17-B, each clinched a gold medal in their categories.

As well, the Red Deer Lacrosse Association (RDLA) confirmed the U9-1 team showcased their skills and determination, earning a bronze medal.

The RDLA says the teams had standout performances.

“These victories are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaches who have put in countless hours of practice and preparation,” said association officials. “The victories of these teams are not only a source of pride for the Red Deer community, but also a reminder of the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.”
