Fire Ban in effect for the Town of Ponoka

Due to a lack of moisture, warm windy conditions in the weather forecast and an ongoing fire hazard, Ponoka County Regional Fire Services has issued a full Fire Ban for the Town of Ponoka effective Monday, May 1, 2023.
Under the Fire Ban, no open fires are permitted within the Town of Ponoka corporate limits.
The fire ban includes:
- No use of fire pits;
- No fireworks; and
- No use of wood or charcoal burning outdoor appliances.
