147 Units Sold In March

Red Deer home sales higher last month but lower than March 2022

Red Deer home sales last month increased from the month before but came in lower than March of last year.

According to the latest market update from Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), there were 147 units sold in Red Deer in March, up from 104 units sold in February but lower than the 205 units sold in March 2022.

Year-to-date figures show 343 units sold in Red Deer during the first quarter of 2023, down from 505 units sold in Red Deer during the first three months of 2022.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $333,211, up from $311,949 in February, but lower than the $335,531 average sale price seen in the city in March 2022.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was 44, down from 53 days in February and 47 days in March of last year.

For the entire Central Alberta market, there were 438 units sold last month, up from 260 units sold in February, but down from 681 units sold in March 2022.

Year-to-date figures show 914 units sold throughout the entire Central Alberta market during the first quarter of this year, down from 1,453 units sold during the first three months of 2022.

Meantime, the average sale price throughout Central Alberta last month was $336,056, up from $316,695 in February, but down from $363,273 in March 2022.

The average number of days to sell in Central Alberta last month was 61, down from 62 days in February and the same as 61 days in March of last year.
