ND Fur Good Service Project underway
Each year, Notre Dame’s graduating class leads a service project.
According to officials with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, a charity is chosen by the students and an event is designed to raise money for that charity.
RDCRS officials say the class of 2023 has proudly chosen to support RCMP Victim Services; raising funds to purchase a trauma dog to assist those in crisis. In 2017 the graduation class raised funds for Harley, Victim Services’ first trauma dog. After supporting more than 700 cases, and thousands of individuals, Harley has retired. School officials say they are excited to continue their partnership with VSU and help them help others.
RDCRS officials say Notre Dame’s annual service project is a tradition of school pride and giving back to the community. In the past 15 years, students have raised more than $700,000 for local and global causes.
