104 Units Sold In February

Red Deer home sales rise last month but lower year over year

Red Deer home sales were higher last month when compared to the month before, but lower than the number of sales seen in February 2022.

According to the latest market update from Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), there were 104 units sold in Red Deer last month, up from 92 units sold in January but down from 175 units sold in February 2022.

Year-to-date numbers show 196 units sold in Red Deer so far this year. That compares with 300 units sold to the end of February 2022.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $311,949, up from $283,526 in January, but lower than $338,269 in February 2022.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was 53, down from 70 days in January and 64 days in February 2022.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 261 units sold in February, up from 216 units sold in January, but down from 456 units sold in February 2022.

Year-to-date numbers show 477 units sold throughout the entire central Alberta market so far this year, which compares with 772 units sold to this point in 2022.

The average sale price in the entire central Alberta market last month was $287,000, down from $289,450 in January and $350,976 in February of last year.

The average number of days to sell a home throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was 62, down from 83 days in January and 74 days in February 2022.
