New applications judge for Court of King’s Bench in Red Deer
Alberta’s government says it is improving access to justice in Red Deer by appointing Matthew Park as a Court of King’s Bench applications judge for the province’s third largest city.
Government officials say Park began working with Warren Sinclair LLP as a student-at-law in 2005. He then became an associate lawyer, and has been a partner since 2010. He specializes in commercial litigation.
Officials say Park is an active member of Alberta’s legal community and the Red Deer community. He has served as secretary to the Central Alberta Bar Society and as director of the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic Foundation. He is also a charter member of the Waskasoo Optimist Club of Red Deer and has served as director and treasurer of the Red Deer Downtown Business Association.
“Having an applications judge in Red Deer will improve access to justice for residents. Matthew Park is an outstanding member of his community and I congratulate him on his appointment,” says Tyler Shandro, Minister of Justice.
