Sylvan Lake Municipal Library
Sylvan Lake Municipal Library’s main purpose has always been to support the community and surrounding areas. They strive to be the heart of the community and provide a place where all can come to discover, learn, and connect.
Examples of supporting the community and organizations include providing a meeting space for community groups such as Manpower’s Career Leap Resume Review, The Town of Sylvan Lake Volunteer Centre, English as a Second Language and tutoring groups. Current initiatives include trivia nights at breweries and restaurants, book clubs at local cafés, and an in-house coffee station, where all funds raised go to support the Little Free Pantry.
The Little Free Pantry is available during the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library’s open hours, seven days a week, on a no questions asked basis. In the pantry, you will see canned goods, cereal, pasta, soup, and other items such as diapers and feminine hygiene products. There is also a refrigerator that stocks items such as yogurt, perogies, margarine, and frozen vegetables. Visit Sylvan Lake Municipal Library to learn more about the Little Free Pantry project.
