Marilyn Sharp 4-H Scholarship awarded to local 4-H member and university student
MEGlobal Canada ULC (MEGlobal) has announced that Julie Sharp is the recipient of the 2022 Marilyn Sharp 4-H Scholarship.
Officials say this is a post-secondary scholarship for current or previous members of a 4-H Club in the West Central Region.
It’s noted the scholarship was established by MEGlobal and Dow, which operate manufacturing facilities at the Prentiss site in Alberta, in recognition of Marilyn’s longtime volunteer contributions as a member of the Prentiss Community Advisory Panel (CAP). The successful applicant must demonstrate academic achievement, overall 4-H achievement and public speaking participation.
Officials say Julie Sharp has been a 4-H member for 10 years, holding roles in the club such as President, Vice-President, Historian, Club Reporter, Secretary, Key Member, and many more. The second recipient of this scholarship, Sharp was selected for her commitment to academic success, maintaining a 3.7 GPA in her second year of studies, as well as her public speaking and leadership skills within the 4-H club.
