Red Deerians invited to discuss city’s ‘Diversity and Inclusion Community Plan’
Red Deerians are being invited to partake in a series of community conversations to inform the City’s future Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
According to city officials, the goal of the Diversity and Inclusion Community Plan is to enhance the wellbeing of the community, celebrate diversity, and provide recommendations for inclusive practices and equitable access across Red Deer.
At each of the following sessions, the city says a different topic will be explored with participants being invited to learn more and provide their ideas for solutions. All sessions are set to take place at the Intermediate School, Omni Gym (5205 48 Ave) in Downtown Red Deer:
- Respect, Relevance, Reciprocity & Responsibility: Thursday, February 16 from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
- Understanding Equity: Wednesday, March 1 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
- Economics of Diversity: Thursday, March 2 from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
- The Safety of Inclusion: Wednesday, March 8 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
- Systems Accessibility: Thursday, March 9 from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
