Preliminary hearing scheduled for Wetaskiwin men charged in Ponoka man’s death
Two Wetaskiwin residents charged in the death of a young Ponoka man last year are due to find out this summer if their case has enough evidence to go to trial.
Adam James Cook, 28, and Morgan Maslin, 20, are scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Wetaskiwin provincial court from Aug. 16-18, 2023.
It was on July 8, 2022, at 8:25 p.m., when Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to a report of an altercation on 40 Avenue, east of 56 Street in Wetaskiwin.
When first responders arrived on scene, RCMP say they located a male with life-threatening injuries. Mounties say the victim, identified as Antwon Bull, 19, of Ponoka, succumbed to his injuries later that evening in hospital.
