Three Hills man sentenced in wild chase involving police near Drumheller
Its’ six months in jail for a Three Hills man convicted in a wild chase with police in the Drumheller area this summer.
Tyree Lee Ewing, 24, was sentenced in Red Deer provincial court on Nov. 25, 2022, to 180 days in jail, to be served concurrently, after being convicted on seven counts in total.
Ewing was convicted on counts of possession of property over $5000 (60 days), dangerous operation (180 days with a two-year license suspension), flight from peace officer (120 days), fail to comply with release order (15 days), fail to comply with release order (15 days), theft of a motor vehicle (60 days with order to pay restitution of $20,805), and assaulting a peace officer use/threaten to use weapon (90 days with an order to pay $606 restitution).
It was on Aug. 23, 2022, when Drumheller RCMP were called to a rural property north of Carbon, AB, where a male suspect had allegedly cut the locks on a gate and gained access to the property.
