Down a goal in the third, Kalan Lind (7th) scored at 9:01, Jayden Grubbe and Christoffer Sedoff assisting on the power play goal to once again tie the game, this time at two goals apiece.

Late, however, it was the Blades’ Jordan Keller (5th) scoring, also on the power play, and Saskatoon had its third lead of the game, now with just 5:09 left on the clock.

When hope was all but lost, in comes Mats Lindgren (3rd) to tie the game with 8.1 seconds remaining, and once again with the man advantage. Kai Uchacz and Grubbe earned assists, and this game was headed to overtime.

In OT, it was not meant to be for Red Deer as Brandon Lisowsky (11th) scored the game winner with 1:07 to go.

Between the pipes, Kyle Kelsey stopped 26 of 30, while the Blades Ethan Chadwick made 21 saves on 24 shots faced, including zero in the extra frame.
