Innisfail man described by police as ‘known repeat offender’, sentenced to 75 days
An Innisfail man that RCMP describe as a known repeat offender has been sentenced to 75 days in jail for his part in a drug seizure last spring.
Mitch Engler, 37, was convicted in Red Deer provincial court Wednesday on counts of possession of substance,and operation while prohibited.
It was on May 28, 2022 when Innisfail RCMP officers observed an individual breaching his court ordered release conditions. Police say the individual was followed to the town of Olds where he was arrested by Innisfail RCMP, along with the assistance of the Olds, Didsbury and Sundre RCMP detachments.
Mounties say they had been monitoring the activities of the suspect living in the Town of Innisfail.
