The Mustard Seed preparing for 12 Days of Giving campaign
In conjunction with Giving Tuesday, which was on Nov. 29, The Mustard Seed is getting ready to kick off its 12 Days of Giving campaign.
While Giving Tuesday aimed to raise $500,000 for the organization — and numbers are still trickling in — 12 Days focuses more on items needed to keep people warm during the winter.
“We have all felt the recent economic crunch, some of us more significantly than others. With the Christmas season of love, joy, hope and peace upon us it is even more important to make sure that we are providing for those in need,” says Laura Giesbrecht, Mustard Seed Director of Operations, Central Alberta.
“For those without family or a place to call home, having a warm place to stay, and a warm meal makes all the difference in the world. With your support, together we can make sure that all Red Deerians are cared for in meaningful ways this Christmas.”
