Army Reserve training exercise occurring in Drumheller from Nov. 4-6
Members of the Canadian Army Reserve will conduct a training exercise within the town of Drumheller and surrounding areas from November 4 to 6, 2022.
Uniformed soldiers and military vehicles will be visible during the training. They will also be visible along highways as they move to and from the area from their unit locations in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton. Soldiers may be carrying personal weapons during the exercise. There will be no ammunition of any kind issued to participants during the exercise.
The soldiers are members of 41 Signal Regiment and 41 Service Battalion. Both are combat support units belonging 41 Canadian Brigade Group and the Canadian Army Reserve. The focus of the training will be supporting command functions in the land tactical environment.
Disruption to traffic will be minimal and there will be no disruption to services. The public is reminded that the soldiers will be taking part training and are asked not approach the soldiers while they are performing their duties.
