LETHBRIDGE, AB – Dozens of supporters of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protests are gathering outside of the Lethbridge Courthouse.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday, the group sang ‘O Canada’ and made speeches saying they want a “peaceful protest.”

The group says they are there to support three people charged in connection to the Coutts border blockade in January and February 2022.

Alex Van Herk, 53, George Janzen, 43, and Fort Macleod town councillor Marco Van Huigenbos, 32, are scheduled to appear in court on charges of mischief over $5,000.
