Two people are in hospital including a local Mountie following a collision involving a police vehicle in Red Deer last week.
On Oct. 28, 2022 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Mounties say a constable with the Red Deer RCMP was supporting an active investigation in the Riverside Meadows neighbourhood when a car collided into the rear of the police vehicle.
Emergency services attended the scene and both the RCMP member and the male driver of the car were transported to the hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the collision.
