Red Deer Regional Health Foundation receives $250,000 donation
The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation (RDRHF) has recently received support from the Arnie J. Charbonneau Foundation in the form of a $250,000 donation.
The RDRHF raises and disburses funds for programs, services, and the purchase of medical equipment for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and other facilities in central Alberta.
“Donations such as this one help ensure our medical professionals will have the tools they need to provide the best possible care to patients in our hospital. Having the latest technology plays an integral role with recruitment of medical talent. Modern, up to date equipment and resources are attractive to new physicians looking to set up practice. It also provides incentive to existing healthcare professionals to stay here,” said Manon Therriault, Chief Executive Officer of the RDRHF.
Arnold James Charbonneau was a Calgary-based entrepreneur. Officials say he was a devoted philanthropist who supported many charities and programs, including the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute at the University of Calgary.
