127 Units Sold in September

Red Deer home sales lower in September

Local home sales were lower in September when compared to the month before and the same month last year.

According to the latest stats from Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), there were 127 units sold in Red Deer in September, down from 155 in August and 171 units sold in September 2021.

Year-to-date numbers show 1,654 units sold in Red Deer to the end of September, up from 1,545 units sold to the same point last year.

The average sale price in Red Deer in September was $341,906 – up from $338,064 in August, but down from $356,816 in September 2021.

The average number of days to sell in Red Deer last month was 48, up from 42 days in August, but down from 66 days in September of last year.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 408 units sold in September, down from 452 in August and 496 units sold in September 2021.

Year-to-date numbers show 4,773 units sold to the end of September, down from 5,355 units sold to the same point last year.

The average sale price throughout central Alberta last month was $343,860 – up from $341,418 in August, but down from $429,931 in September 2021.

The average number of days to sell throughout central Alberta last month was 57, up from 53 in August, but down from 60 days in September 2021.
