2022 Canadian Finals Rodeo “Cabaret Corral” live music lineup announced

The 48th Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR 48), set to run November 2-6, 2022, is fast approaching and we are excited to announce this year’s “Cabaret Corral” country music entertainment lineup.

With doors opening at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the daily free event features live music immediately following each rodeo performance in the Prairie Pavilion, showcasing some incredible Canadian talent, including:

Wednesday, November 2 – Garrett Gregory

Garrett Gregory is an ambitious vocalist with a shockingly powerful voice and a live show that has been turning heads with his breakthrough into country music. Even so, while his powerhouse voice packs a strong right hook, his real talent lies in his high energy, his theatrical and captivating shows, and his natural ability to completely move a crowd.

Born in the rural town of Hanna, Alberta, Gregory grew up living the small-town life, singing in bands and competitions throughout Canada since the age of eight. His charming and engaging style has driven his bookings for rodeos, fundraisers, festivals, and galas often years in advance. He’s played Williams Lake Stampede, Wurst for Stampede, Lilac Festival, ACMA kickoff party, Flatts Fest, Dawson Creek Rodeo, Handhills Rodeo (100th anniversary), Ranchman’s, Nashville North, and a plethora of other festivals, fundraisers, galas, and parties.

Thursday, November 3 – Brettyn Rose

Brettyn Rose is a country artist with music rooted in an acoustic aesthetic, weaved with honest lyrics, powerful vocals, and a hint of sparkle. Recently, the Calgary-based artist’s first release of 2022, “Making Progress,” reached #18 on the iTunes Country chart the day of its release and was the #1 Most Active Indie Song at Canadian Radio in its first week of release! Rose has also been nominated for The Rising Star Award at the 2021 Country Music Alberta Awards with her debut single “Running Out of Borrowed Time”, (April 2019), also earning Rose two 2020 YYC Music Award nominations: Country Recording of the Year and the Zackariah and the Prophets Memorial Award. Rose’s follow-up single “All I Want Is You” (February 2020) received national airplay, including Sirius XM CBC Country, and reached #9 on the Native Communications Inc. FM Indigenous Music Countdown. The Dewinton, Alberta native is also developing her career through live performances, performing in the Songwriter’s Showcase at the Country Music Alberta Awards (2022), on The Ranchman’s mainstage (2022), and the Horizon Stage at Big Valley Jamboree (2022).

Friday, November 4 – Drew Gregory

Drew Gregory has been a staple of the western Canadian music scene for several years; his hard-won fan base and commercial success was earned through a deep-rooted honesty and authenticity in both the songs that Gregory writes and sings. Gregory has the natural ability to light up any stage, connect with his audience and deliver a show stopping performance, whether it’s an intimate gathering or for thousands of people. Gregory is a three-time Country Music Alberta Horizon Male and the inaugural YYC Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (Better in a Bar), and Album of the Year (I Was There) winner. Recently Drew Gregory took home $50,000 from Project Wild to help advance his career. With new songs in the works, and an album expected soon, there is a bubbling excitement and anticipation within the music scene for what just may be Gregory’s most confident, vibrant, and exciting creative outpouring.

Saturday, November 5 – Ben Chase

It’s hard to believe Ben Chase is just getting started. The Prince Edward Island native already has so many career highs under his belt. With well over 1.5 million combined streams, two #1 songs on the iTunes Canadian country charts, four top 100 charting singles at Canadian radio, and winning some major awards including Fans’ Choice at the Country Music Alberta Awards, Ben Chase is well on his way to becoming a household name to country music fans. After spending four years in Alberta, Ben has recently made the full-time move to Nashville, Tennessee to further pursue his career where he has already begun making a name for himself performing at the Bluebird Café and Whiskey Jam, and recently returned home to Canada to open for the Zac Brown Band at the 2022 Calgary Stampede.

These incredible artists will once again be backed by the “CFR All Star Band,” a collection of Canadian musicians that boast dozens of Canadian Country Music Awards and CCMA Hall-of Fame Honours among them, playing with Canadian icons such as Brett Kissel, Dallas Smith, High Valley, Gord Bamford, and many, many more.

The CFR Night Shift continues with the nightly Buckles Presentation at approximately 9:30 p.m., and the music rolls on late into the night with DJ B-Town returning to keep the good times going until the nightly 1:00 a.m. last call.

All Cabaret Corral entertainment is free for everyone of all ages to attend and is the place to be for both pre- and post-rodeo performances at the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
