Chamber announces 2022-2023 Board of Directors

The Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce has announced the re-election of Matt Cassidy, from Beyond Insurance, to his second term as Chamber president.

The re-elecyion took place on Wednesday, Oct. 5, during the organization’s 128th Annual General Meeting.

Other Officers of the Board elected, include Mike Szyszka of Reaction Digital, elected for a second term and as Vice-President, and Keith McPhedran of Pivotal LLP, who was elected as Secretary Treasurer.

Chamber officials say the Board also welcomed the addition of two new directors, Nadine St. Denis from Peavey Industries, and Erin Forbes of United Way of Central Alberta, both of whom were elected to serve alongside the eight current incumbent directors.

As the 103rd President of the Board, Cassidy voiced his enthusiasm regarding his re-election as Board President during his opening remarks.

“I am excited to be elected as president again this year and look forward to working with the Board and CEO Scott Robinson in moving our strategic agenda forward serving the Red Deer business community,” shared Cassidy.

The Chamber says Board Officers are elected by Members of the Board to serve a one-year term. Board Members are elected by the members of the Chamber and can serve a maximum of six years.

The Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce is described as a non-partisan organization, that works as collaborative leader to build a vibrant community and foster an environment where businesses can lead, be innovative, sustainable, and grow.
